Character Skills
While each character class may differ slightly, every character has a set of passive and active skills. Passive skills include perception - the ability to detect enemies hiding nearby, while Active skills include hiding - attempting to become invisible and sneaking up on enemies.
Hiding:
This allows you to use the shadows to your advantage becoming less visible to passing enemies. Higher points in the Hiding skill allows you to become virtually invisible to enemies allowing you to sneak up on them or through the areas they guard with ease. Every class can hide & sneak in Age of Conan, however some classes are particularly suited for it (IE Assassins)
Perception:
This is a passive skill which allows players to detect nearby enemies when they are hiding & sneaking about. Higher points in the Perception skill allows you to detect nearby enemies more easily.
Concentration:
Another passive skill, Concentration is important for the spell casters who can have their spell casting slowed or interupted by melee attacks. Having higher points in the Concentration skill makes it less likely that the casters spell will be interupted when they are attacked.
Climbing:
Climbing allows your character to reach places that are otherwise beyond their reach. Higher points in the Climbing skill allows your character to climb steeper slopes & ladders that other characters cannot - This will allow your character access to places other characters cannot reach, or alternate paths to places. (IE less perilous paths around dangerous obstacles)
Taunt:
For some characters gaining and maintaining the aggression of nearby enemies is a core part of their combat role. A higher Taunting skill allows your character to be more effective at forcing enemies to concentrate their attacks on you, rather than your other party members.
