Age of Conan Dark Templar Class

Shrouded in tendrils of darkness, Age of Conan's Dark Templars are fierce sorcerer warlords that derive their otherworldly strength through unholy pacts with the forces of darkness. Hungering only for victory, these mighty warriors have sold their very soul to the most powerful bidder.

Through undaunting devotion to one of the vile deities or demon lords of Hyboria, Dark Templars earn the favor & boon of their wretched benefactors - and wield their masters deadly power with devastating effect.

The Dark Templar is a hybrid caster/tank who amongst other things are able to leech life & mana from nearby enemies as well as stun or turn back damage to attackers. Dark Templar tanks are able to don the heaviest of armor and manage bucklers & shields - wielding one handed weapons they can deal significant damage without sacrificing their defensive advantage.

Dark Templars can choose to forgo the use of a heavy defensive shield opting instead to use their offhand to grasp magical talismans which augment their dark power.
